Also there are no intrinsic light induced degradation effects on cadmium telluride thin solar films.
The production of thin solid films is easy. They have greatest potential in relation to mass production. Silicon solar panels are made by molten Silicon on glass but thin solid films are made by simply spraying the substances like cadmium telluride and solar panel is formed.
One of the greatest advantages of these solar panel is flexibility. It means they can be produced in many flexible shapes and it is because these solar panels are not made from Richardson Silicon material. Imagine poles, domes covered with these flexible solar panels. Also we can make a solar building, a multi storey building covered with flexible thin solar films. Future is more exciting.
If we talk about appearance of these solar films, in this discussion also it replaces silicon solar cells. These thin solar panels are aesthetically pleasing because they are sprayed on glass and not attached or crafted piece by piece like in Silicon panels.
